Roisin Brett
Roisin started her nursing career at St. James Hospital in 2000. She then went on to do her Midwifery training at The Coombe Women’s and Infants University Hospital from 2005-2007. Roisin went on to work in the obstetrics and gynaecology service at the Coombe Women’s Hospital for a year where she spent time looking after women with recurrent pregnancy loss, early and later pregnancy loss and those who needed postop care. She also provided antenatal and postnatal care.
Roisin found her calling in reproductive medicine and joined the Merrion Fertility Clinic in 2008 where she worked for 4 years. She then moved to London and worked at Create Fertility, West Wimbledon for 3 years. As a fertility nurse Roisin’s role was to care for and support couples undergoing fertility treatment. These treatments included Follicle Tracking, Ovulation Induction, IUI and IVF. Roisin is competent in performing both transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound. Roisin is also competent in performing IUI’s and looking after patients after egg retrieval.
Roisin has a special interest in looking after patients with a previous IVF/ICSI failure and couples with a history of pregnancy loss. Roisin is a compassionate and caring health care professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
