NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) analyses fetal-DNA circulating in the pregnant woman’s blood. It is an accurate non-invasive prenatal test for Down syndrome (trisomy 21) Edwards Syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau’s Syndrome (trisomy 13), it is also used to detect X and Y chromosome abnormalities.
